Keep well connected with the Gigaset E290HX - it's so easy to use. The large, illuminated keys make it super easy to press the right button. It's even quicker and easier to call your essential contacts if you save their number to one of the repertory keys (A/B). The large buttons on the phone provide reassuring peace of mind whenever you need it - for example, in an emergency, all you have to do is press either key to call the number assigned to it.

A clear display for optimum readability
The Gigaset E290HX helps you keep an overview of the situation. You can set the large, illuminated, black-and-white display to the optimum contrast level for you. Jumbo mode increases the size of the numbers on the dialling screen, so even long numbers are clear. If you want even simpler operation, the menu can be set to single-icon mode, with just one icon being displayed per screen.

Ringing in loud and clear: sound that is tailored to you
The audio features of the Gigaset E290HX can be tailored to different needs. The volume and melody of the ringtone can be adjusted to suit you — you'll never miss a call again! Choose from five settings for the earpiece volume or double the volume of a call mid-conversation using the amplifier function. Whether you're holding the handset or using hands-free mode, you can always enjoy clear sound and excellent voice reproduction as standard.

Hearing aid compatibility and the option to adjust the frequency range to suit your own hearing makes communication enjoyable for all ages.

Convenient communication: easy to install and use and no unwanted calls
The Gigaset E290HX makes using your phone a little easier, starting with the super-simple installation process: Thanks to Plug & Play, you can get started in just three steps — simply unpack, plug in and make a call. The side of the handset is textured to ensure a good grip, while the intuitive menu design makes it so easy to use. The extensive directory can store up to 150 of your contacts. You can add up to 32 numbers to your "blacklist" and specify whether calls from these contacts should be completely blocked or simply indicated using a visual signal. It even works for anonymous calls when no number is displayed — so no more unwanted calls!

Log on to the router and keep your phone close at hand
You can place your Gigaset E290HX anywhere in your home, so you always have a phone within easy reach, wherever you need it — in the bedroom, kitchen or hallway. You no longer need a base station for your Gigaset E290HX. The handset communicates directly with your DECT-enabled Internet router via radio signals, giving you complete flexibility.

If you would like to expand your landline system with additional handsets, the Gigaset E290HX can also be connected to a telephone base station.

Radiation-free phoning thanks to ECO DECT.
Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the E290HX is equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The phones are radiation-free in standby mode, even when you're using multiple handsets, provided that the base and all connected handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission strength automatically adapts to the distance between the handset and the base. The closer the base, the lower the radiation. For maximum DECT range, you can disable ECO DECT mode at any time.
